Acre, a leading sustainability recruiter and search firm, has appointed Cognito as its first global retained communications agency.
Following a competitive pitch process, Cognito was selected to strengthen awareness of the Acre brand across UK, US, EMEA and APAC. Cognito will lead Acre’s external communications with a series of integrated thought leadership campaigns addressing topics including the evolution of ESG investing, how sustainability regulatory developments are shaping hiring trends, and the evolution of the role of a chief sustainability officer (CSO).
Cognito will also drive proactive media engagement with a focus on mainstream and international press that cover sustainability, climate policy and sustainable finance and investing as their core focuses. A key aspect of this will also be content creation, delivering articles that can be leveraged in the media to deliver a differentiated and authentic point of view on critical sustainability and human capital issues in the corporate and finance sectors.
Operating in London, New York, Amsterdam and Singapore, Acre is a pioneer in sustainability recruitment, search and talent development. Acre works with professionals who have a passion for tackling some of the world’s biggest issues such as climate change, ocean plastics and human rights.
Rachel Frost, Director of Marketing, Acre, comments: “We were impressed with Cognito’s depth of experience and understanding of the sustainability sector. They had excellent creative ideas and tactics on how to bring our story to life. The team demonstrated a strong commercial understanding of our business, and our aspirations for continued growth.”
Charlie Morrow, Director, said: “Acre is a fantastic organisation which sits at the heart of conversations around human capital and how this can build a sustainable future. Their visionary leadership and compelling, forward-looking perspectives make them an exciting brand to work with. It is also a great fit for us, combining the strong ESG and sustainability experience coming out of our Sustainability Practice, together with our passion for delivering integrated communications strategies that deliver quality results.”
