Exploration > Conference Monotony: Our eats and drinks guide for Money20/20

October 10, 2024

One again, Cognito will be on-the-ground at the Money 20/20 USA conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This year we will be supporting onsite clients and industry allies as they take the stage. You can find us people watching at the MoneyPot, coordinating with clients and press in the media lounge, and absorbing inspirational speeches and panels on the main and side stages.

That said, you will also see us off-campus.

If you spend all your time cooped up on the expo floor, you’re missing out on a golden opportunity to explore local attractions and create impactful moments with your team and clients (not to mention meeting those prospects in more relaxed settings).

If you’re looking for alternative locations for networking, eating and drinking, Cognito has created a map of suggested locations. These come straight from the mouths (or inboxes) of trusted industry allies who frequent Vegas often. If you’re looking to entertain clients or teammates next time you’re in Vegas, try these places:

Whether you’re sampling street food or dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, Vegas has its own unique taste.

One of my favorite Money 20/20 moments last year took place standing at a shared table with strangers over noodles at Tao. I walked away with three new solid contacts whom I still interact with today (client shoutout!), as well as a full belly.

In addition to the tastebud delights, visiting local speakeasys or taverns can also be a great way to unwind after a long day of conference sessions. Networking over drinks or a show in a relaxed setting can, and will, help foster stronger connections with your colleagues and clients.

So next time you find yourself at a conference, don’t just stick to the suggested agenda. If you can make the time, experience the opportunity you’ve been given to explore the city and get out of the exhibition hall. Who knows, you might even discover your latest favorite restaurant or dish – all while strengthening your professional relationships.
