 – Cognito working with fintech accelerator in London and Singapore to build global profile

London, 18 March 2015 – Startupbootcamp FinTech, the leading accelerator focused on financial innovation, has appointed Cognito to raise its awareness and media profile in its key operating markets, including Singapore, following its kick-off in London in late 2014.

Headquartered in London, with a recently launched accelerator in Singapore, Startupbootcamp FinTech provides funding, mentorship, office space in the heart of the City of London and access to a global network of investors and venture capitalists, for up to 10 selected fintech startups at any one time. The chosen startups join the three month accelerator programme to collaborate with 200+ mentors, partners, and investors to build world class fintech products, with the ultimate goal of becoming industry leading companies.

Nektarios Liolios, Global Managing Director for Startupbootcamp FinTech, commented: “We wanted a communications partner with a solid understanding of both the finance and technology landscape in Singapore and London, so that our communications create the global significant impact we want. Cognito clearly demonstrated creative ideas, the required skills and knowledge and relationships with relevant reporters covering the fintech space. It’s an exciting time for Startupbootcamp FinTech as we extend our reach to fintech hotspots including Tel Aviv, Sydney, Dubai and Johannesburg, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with the team and look forward to expanding our work together over the coming months.”

Paul Bowhay, Associate Director, Cognito EMEA added: “It is a stimulating time for fintech, demonstrated by the variety and demand for communications support we’re seeing, and are excited to be supporting an expanding roster of innovators that are disrupting the existing financial landscape. We look forward to extending our work further in the startup community by working with Startupbootcamp FinTech. The fintech scene continues to grow and Startupbootcamp FinTech is leading the way in how it bridges the gap between investors and startups through its open-style demo day.”

The Singapore programme is led by Managing Director Tim Williamson in Singapore.
