Cognito is delighted to announce the official opening of its Hong Kong office as it continues to expand its presence across Asia Pacific. Dan Bradley has joined the team on the ground to lead, develop and grow the business in the city. The business will focus on driving integrated communications and marketing solutions across both traditional and digital media for its growing list of clients.
Cognito’s strengths in finance, professional services and technology will serve Hong Kong’s heritage as a financial centre and emerging role as a regional technology hub. Establishing a full-time presence will allow Cognito to meet the growing demand from current and prospective clients for senior-level, specialist, integrated communications advice. In addition, the new office will provide a platform for servicing the Greater China market. This enhances Cognito’s global presence, headquartered in London and including offices in Singapore, New York, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
Hong Kong begins with a strong list of clients on global retainers and local contracts including names from across the financial services and technology industries. These include global, tier one asset and wealth managers plus emerging FinTech players and related service providers.
Darrell Wright, Cognito’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, said, “As one of the world’s most important global financial centres, Hong Kong leads the evolution of this service industry and the transformation of the media landscape. As such, the city remains central to the region’s communications activities at large domestic and multi-national corporations. This is reflected in the growth in activity we’ve experienced here, as firms wish to widen their exposure to an increasingly sophisticated audience using ever more advanced techniques, systems and platforms. Cognito aims to harness its global and regional expertise to bring best-in-class solutions to clients in Hong Kong and the North Asia region.”
Dan Bradley joined Cognito in early 2017 and brings more than twelve years of experience in financial services communications drawn from both agency and in-house roles. He was most recently PR Director at Thomson Reuters, and was previously PR Director for SunGard covering EMEA and Latin America. Before moving to in-house communications roles, he worked at leading financial services PR agencies in London servicing a range of corporate accounts and listed companies.
Darrell added, “Dan brings first class experience and knowledge of the industry with him. He is an excellent choice to help build the business in Hong Kong, supported by the global and regional management team at Cognito.”
