Cognito hires new London-based talent in AI, sustainability and broadcast media

London, 14 October 2024 – Cognito, the leading independent global communications agency in financial markets, technology, and sustainability today announced new hires to support growth.  

The new appointments are based in London and will facilitate the expansion of Cognito’s sustainability and fintech practices, along with specialist broadcast services.  

Tom Hunt has been appointed as a Director at Cognito and will be responsible for bolstering the agency’s global insights and analytics proposition for its clients. Additionally, he will be progressing Cognito’s comprehensive AI plans to deliver class-leading consultancy and value. Tom brings 12 years of specialist technology, data and integrated communications expertise to the agency. He has worked with clients such as HSBC, Google, Intel and Honeywell. He joins from WE Communications and has held previous roles at Chameleon (now MikeWorldWide) and Wildwood Plus. 

Holly Edwards has been appointed as Account Director, Sustainability, to work on Cognito’s increasing sustainability, climate transition and climate finance work. Holly brings a wealth of network agency experience, advising multinational corporations on their sustainability and social impact communications strategies, as well as broader corporate communications. She joins from Hill & Knowlton (now Burson) where she worked with a mix of major blue-chip clients across financial services, consumer and technology sectors. Previously she worked for Edelman.  

Ex-Bloomberg journalist and producer, Emmaline Windeler, joins Cognito as an Account Manager to reinforce Cognito’s media relations, broadcast services and fintech expertise. At Bloomberg, Emmaline was a segment producer for several shows including, “Daybreak Europe” and the “European Market Close.” Most recently, she was at Flame PR where she established herself as a media relations expert for technology and fintech clients.
